Mental Health

Mental health is integral to your overall health and well-being. If you are struggling with your mental health, you are not alone. Recovery Resources is here to support your journey with counseling, medical treatment and recovery support.

Our licensed clinicians use a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions to promote improved quality of life. Individual and group behavioral health services are available to adults struggling with mental health or co-occurring disorders.

Sometimes your treatment for behavioral care is closely aligned with your primary healthcare needs. We partner with MetroHealth to address the whole health needs of clients with a clinical mental health diagnosis or those with chronic conditions.

  • Care coordination between primary and behavioral health providers
  • Periodic monitoring of physical health markers
  • Facilitation of primary care for behavioral health consumers

Medical management

Our outpatient medical management services work to stabilize individuals and help them function optimally within the community. Our team includes psychiatrists, advanced practice nurses, resident physicians in training, fellows, psychiatric nurses, social workers, counselors and non-clinical staff. We help clients focus on:

  • Community: A key factor in achieving psychiatric stability within our community is a strong support system and community connection.
  • Collaboration: Our clients and their family members have an active role in discussing therapeutic options, initiating changes and providing feedback about their experiences with their treatment.
  • Whole health: We promote preventive care, wellness and psycho-education in those with mental health, alcohol, drug and other disorders. We provide psychiatric services to individuals with thought and mood disorders, as well as persons with dual diagnoses.

Our services include:

  • Psychiatric evaluation, prescription and supervision of medication
  • Medication injections
  • Medical interventions

Intensive outpatient treatment for persons with dual disorders

We offer different dual diagnosis intensive outpatient (IOP) programs for individuals with mood and thought disorders.

These IOP groups are specifically designed to educate and support people who need treatment for mood and thought disorders (e.g. depression, bipolar, schizophrenia) in addition to substance use disorders.

Three-hour sessions, four days per week
Structured lifestyle, individual counseling and drug screens to monitor sobriety
Dual-disordered IOP groups include gender-specific trauma as part of the treatment curriculum

Community psychiatric supportive treatment

With our community psychiatric supportive treatment staff services, we work closely with clients on a daily and weekly basis to ensure they have their treatment needs met, including:

  • Medication adherence
  • Assistance with obtaining benefits
  • Healthcare entitlements
  • Housing resources
  • Additional support for better self-efficacy and self-sufficiency

We act as a liaison between our clients and their service providers, partnering with the criminal justice system, area hospitals and a variety of social service organizations to ensure the most comprehensive services are available.
