Dual-Diagnosis: An Overview
Co-occurring disorders, also known as dual-diagnosis, means having more than one behavioral health disorder. Dual-diagnosis of substance use disorders and other psychiatric disorders is common. This high rate of co-occurrence supports a comprehensive approach for the identification and treatment of each disorder concurrently. This training provides an overview of Anxiety, Mood, Psychotic, Trauma, and Substance Use Disorders from the Dual Diagnosis perspective, in addition to clinical treatment considerations.
