An Overview of Trauma Informed Care for Mental Health Professionals

Trauma impacts individuals of every age, culture and socioeconomic background. And those with experiences of trauma are more likely to experience mental health concerns. In this training, professionals will learn about how trauma impacts brain functioning and interpersonal relationships, fundamentally changing how traumatized people function in the world. We will also identify practical interventions to equip professionals with the tools to support the healing process and help traumatized individuals find a way to move past surviving and into thriving.
