2024 Annual Report

For the past 70 years, Recovery Resources has been dedicated to improving mental health and wellbeing in our community. Doing so has required us to bridge the gap between the care available and the people who need that care. Our comprehensive prevention, treatment and recovery  programs provide accessible, compassionate care for individuals experiencing mental health issues, addiction and gambling problems. Alongside organizations in our community, we create more integrated and effective responses to mental health and addiction concerns. Together, we’re meeting people where they are and strengthening our communities.

The ADAMHS Board of Cuyahoga County provides nearly a third of our budget annually.

Our partnership with The MetroHealth System means that addressing mental health and addiction happens alongside other health concerns: a true integration of care.

Communities thrive when we come together to address challenges. Our community partnerships are crucial in addressing crises and the growing demand for mental health support.

First CALL

In 2024, Recovery Resources and the cities of Shaker Heights, Cleveland Heights, Richmond Heights, South Euclid and University Heights launched First CALL (Crisis Assistance and Local Linkage), an innovative mental health response program. A dedicated team of licensed social workers, counselors and peer supporters respond independently but simultaneously with local police and fire departments to assist persons in crisis. This program offers continuous follow-up and support to individuals, facilitating access to essential mental health, addiction and other services, while effectively decreasing the volume of non-emergency calls to 911.

City of Lyndhurst

Recovery Resources has partnered with the City of Lyndhurst and Lyndhurst Police and Fire Departments to create a more trauma-informed community. We’re training city employees and first responders to effectively interact with community members experiencing trauma, helping to de-escalate challenging situations and quickly connect individuals to the most appropriate mental health care.

  • Develop a workforce that recognizes trauma and its impact
  • Connect community members to services
  • Increase retention and job satisfaction for first responders

“In conversations with various members of patrol, several members stated they were able to recognize the signs of trauma when responding to calls, as well as stating they felt more comfortable with the way they responded to these calls because of the training they received.”
